Mt. Lebo Mom Shares Her Networking Strategy

Inspired to take action after attending the Education Voters PA meeting held in Pittsburgh last week, one Mt. Lebanon mom decided to help others learn about the impact of the current state budget cuts on public education. She had conversations with friends throughout Southwest PA and has already convinced ten people to write letters to their legislators, urging the restoration of educational funding.

After talking to friends, she sent them a note by email encouraging them to contact their legislators and included sample letters from Yinzercation. She added some statistics about the effects of the state budget cuts in local school districts and contact information for the appropriate legislators, to make it easy for her friends to act. This is precisely the kind of grass-roots lobbying effort we need to reach out to our legislators and let them know we care about funding for public education!
